I have spent over 20 years leading the development of products in the legal technology market. During this time, the most important lesson I've learned is that technology can be powerful; it can change the trajectory of a business and even an industry. Critically, this happens only when the teams managing the technology are wholly committed to serving the needs of their clients. This lesson is embedded in the founding of this business, and it will always be our north star, as we strive to foster the development and adoption of technology solutions.

At Cutterhead, we endeavor first to learn. We understand the legal technology landscape, and the processes required to manage AI and software development. We do not yet understand your business or practice, your history, your clients. Kit

Kit Mackie, Founder and CEO

I professionally came of age in the early 2000s, when the internet was in its infancy. I rode that wave of change as a seminal employee or founder at three successful businesses: Relativity, NexLP, and Lineal. I ran the product development of Relativity, from the 1.0 version through the 7.4 version, over a ten-year span. I was an early AI believer, as we founded NexLP in 2012 on the backbone of Dr. Dan Roth's life's work. Dr. Roth is a McCarthy award winner, presented each year to the world's top AI scientist. In my third endeavor, I conceived and led the development of Lineal's Amplify suite (gratitude to Jeanne Somma for many, many insights) which won numerous awards and continues to drive Lineal's marketing messages to this day.

Cutterhead is my fourth and final business. I hope to grow this business with my clients for many years to come.

I have always been an engineer and a technologist first. My passion is connecting the dots between technology, business and people. My best days are those where I work with clients and teams to discover solutions to complex problems. Through conversation and process, we can ease professional pain. We can deliver systems that allow you to delight your customers. And this has never been more true than it is today.

I am the father of four. I love to drum, golf, and ski. I am a proud Chicagoan and graduate of the University of Illinois School of Engineering. I L L!
